Kennedale is on the move. Centrally located in the mid-south heart of the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex, just southeast of the intersection of highways Loop 820, I-20 and 287, the city is a growing community that is an especially inviting target for retailers, restaurants, hopitality, office, and industrial developers.  Kennedale's population of approximately 7,000 is the core of a larger consumer base fo 53,000 customers within a three-mile radius and 152,156 shoppers within a five-mile radius.  The city's population has grown 17% in the past decade because of an aggressive campaign to recruit people and businesses to increase the area's vibrancy.

Kennedale's government works closely with the Economic Development Corporation; civic and business leaders; and the Chamber of Commerce to aggresively recruit new investment that fill a needed niche in the community.  The City and EDC are cooperating to build a business climate that will spur its transformation from a traditional bedroom community to a contemporary, progressive city that is business friendly and family friendly, which is just what you would expect from a place that sees itself as Progress Central.
